I'm the other one, the blondie bear~ I went from starving artist, to surviving artist, to thriving business woman. And she's the inspiration behind Em&Elle! I want my niece to grow up in a world where the women she is surrounded with are as kick ass as the ones surrounding me when I was growing up. 

It's always been a dream of mine to run my own company. My mother will tell you stories about how I was the head of every group project in elementary and middle school, even before I can remember. I was captain of my high school soccer team- captain of my traveling soccer team. In college I wanted to be in charge of the biggest and badest projects available to students.

I graduated with a BFA in 3 years, and within 6 months of graduation was in charge of the art dept at one of the biggest Broadway production companies in the north east. 

It was a hell of a ride.

Unfortunately, as it turned out, I actually liked being a manager more than I liked being an artist. So I packed up my binders and notebooks and left the theatre world to pursue a business of my own focused on my favorite thing-- Organization

So why paper planners in this overly digitized world?? Precisely for that reason. You stare at enough screens for your business.
